Indego Exoskeleton on Tour
The Indego is a new class of powered orthosis that uses advanced sensor and motor technology to allow certain gait impaired individuals to stand up and walk again. You can read more about the background to the product at our product page on this site. See - anatomicalconcepts.com/indego.
In two weeks in late November and early December 2016 we are showing and demonstrating the Indego in cooperation with some of our clinical partners.
Dublin Ireland - Monday 21st November
We will be at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH), at Rochestown Avenue, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, Ireland on Monday afternoon 21st November at 13:30

Prime Physiotherapy is run by Andrew Galbraith and his team. Known to many of our FES clients, Andrew specialises in neurological rehabilitation for all types of neurological impairments, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, MS, Acquired Brain Injury and Transverse Myelitis are commonly treated at the centre. Neuro Physio Wales - Thursday 8th December
Neuro Physio Wales Ltd was established in 2002 by Sara Davis and was initially called Bridgend Physiotherapy Services. Over the last ten years the Physiotherapy team has grown as has the geographical area they cover. They are now able to offer services clients across South Wales.

Trying out the Indego?
At present there are two UK hospitals that use the Indego as part of their therapy programmes - these are the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital in Aylesbury and the Wellington Hospital in London. They can offer individuals the opportunity to try the Indego provided we can determine that the system would be safe and effective for them. They may look to charge a fee for this. The main user requirements are as follows
- Height range: 5'1" – 6'3" (155 – 191 cm)
- Maximum weight: 250 lbs. (113 kg)
- Maximum hip width: 16.6"(42.2 cm)
- Femur length: 14" – 18.5" (35 – 47 cm)
- Level of injury: C5 or lower
- Spasticity score: Modified Ashworth score 3 or lower
- Sufficient upper body strength to balance and advance with forearm crutches, front-wheeled walker or platform walker
It may be possible to offer individuals the opportunity to try the Indego during this tour (subject to medical clearance) in cooperation with our partners. Please contact us or one of the UK partners above if this is of interest.
