KT Motion
KT Motion is a compact, clinic-ready electrical stimulation system, offering four-channel stimulation with EMG-triggered control, denervated programmes, and sensor-based activation.
This handheld device fits easily into day-to-day clinical routines and is equally suited to mobile or community based rehab, giving you responsive, hands-on stimulation wherever you’re working.
Its standout feature is EMG-triggered stimulation. Therapists can set manual or automatic thresholds, enabling clients to challenge their own movement patterns and activate stimulation through effort and intention.
Built for muscle re-education and functional retraining, KT Motion is ideal for clients with neurological and peripheral nerve conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, MS, and brachial plexus injury.
Whether you're in the clinic, or working in the community, KT Motion offers the adaptability, portability, and precision needed for modern neurorehab.

Pregnancy: We don’t currently have enough research on the safety of using electrical stimulation during pregnancy, so it’s best to avoid using the system while pregnant.
Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD):
If you’ve experienced autonomic dysreflexia before, you should speak with your spinal injuries consultant or regular doctor before starting.
If you’re able to recognise the signs of AD and know how to manage it, using the system is still possible. To reduce the risk, avoid exercising with a full bladder or bowel, and stay hydrated by sipping water throughout your session.Long-term Injuries:
If your injury happened more than five years ago, you may benefit from a specialist assessment before beginning a new exercise programme.
-
KT Motion has two EMG channels, which means it can detect small muscle signals like effort, movement attempt, or intention, and use them to trigger stimulation.
This helps clients take an active role in their rehab. For example, trying to lift a hand or flex a muscle can activate a pre-set stimulation pattern, such as grasping, reaching, or lifting.
Therapists can adjust the sensitivity of the system to suit each client, so they can gradually improve control and relearn movement over time.
-
KT Motion can connect to an external motion sensor - like a bending sensor worn in a glove - which allows users to trigger stimulation based on their own movement, or input.
For example, opening the hand wearing the bending sensor can stimulate anywhere electrodes are placed - most commonly on the opposite, affected limb.
It’s not just for mirror-type work; the sensor gives users more autonomy and can be used to adjust intensity or timing during functional tasks like reaching, grasping and extenson. Therapists can fine-tune the sensitivity and thresholds to suit each user’s ability and rehab goals.
-
Absolutely. It's really important to us that you feel confident using your system and making adjustments over time. FES is often used for short term rehab goals, but should be used as a long-term tool for staying healthy, so we make sure you're properly supported from day one.
Here’s what’s included:
