Stim2Go

The Stim2Go is a compact, 5-channel Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) system that gives you full flexibility to train your way—whether that’s on your own, or with equipment you already have.

It is ideal for users who want to add FES to a personal setup (eg an existing or second-hand passive active bike or cycle), or to use stimulation with a rower, cable machine, parallel bars or on its own for functional movement goals.

With motion-controlled stimulation for dynamic exercise and programmable sequences for structured, goal-based training (like sit-to-stand, grasp and reach, or cable work), Stim2Go helps you move more effectively—even when voluntary control is limited.

Compatible with most bikes, ergometers, or functional trainers, Stim2Go requires no technical interface or modifications - strap to the body, control in the app. Use it for rehab, strength-building, or everyday movement—at home, in clinic, or on the move.

    • Limited range of motion at knee / hip

    • Severe osteoporosis

    • Damaged skin or open wounds near stimulation

    • Some metal implants and cardiac pacemakers

    • Weight over 135kg

    • Pregnancy: We don’t currently have enough research on the safety of using electrical stimulation during pregnancy, so it’s best to avoid using the system while pregnant.

    • Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD):
If you’ve experienced autonomic dysreflexia before, you should speak with your spinal injuries consultant or regular doctor before starting.
If you’re able to recognise the signs of AD and know how to manage it, using the system is still possible. To reduce the risk, avoid exercising with a full bladder or bowel, and stay hydrated by sipping water throughout your session.

    • Long-term Injuries:
If your injury happened more than five years ago, you may benefit from a specialist assessment before beginning a new exercise programme.

  • The Stim2Go offers up to 5 channels of stimulation, meaning it can activate 5 muscle groups at once. It’s designed with home users in mind—typically using 4 channels for FES cycling and 1 channel for tSCS (spinal cord stimulation), especially during lower limb training.

While some FES systems offer 8 or more channels, most of our clients find that 4 is more manageable and sustainable for regular use. It also allows you to focus on different muscles in each session, just like you’d rotate muscle groups in a gym workout.

You can use our pre-made templates or build your own routines through the Stim2Go app.

There’s no one-size-fits-all—the right system is the one that fits your body, your goals, and your lifestyle.

  • Yes. The Stim2Go is worn on the user’s body, and uses motion control to detect its position and activate stimulation sequences in real time. You do not need any physical interface with the equipment itself.

You can also use the Stim2Go on its own utilising timed or triggered sequences to assist in additional functional exercises.

  • Absolutely. It's really important to us that you feel confident using your system and making adjustments over time. FES is often used for short term rehab goals, but should be used as a long-term tool for staying healthy, so we make sure you're properly supported from day one.

    Here’s what’s included:

    🛠️ Setup Visit
We’ll deliver the system, assemble everything, and remove any packaging.
Then we’ll spend around 90 minutes showing you how it all works, setting up your first templates, and answering any questions.
We document the session so you can refer back to it later, and we’re happy to train family members or carers too.
If needed, we can also provide a competency sign-off for clinical or care staff.

    ⏱ 6-Week Follow-Up
Once you’ve had some time to get started, we’ll return for a follow-up visit.
This is your chance to ask questions, get help with any tweaks, and explore new template options based on your progress and goals.

  • 🌍 Local Therapist Support
Where possible, we can connect you with a local therapist who understands FES and can help integrate it into your wider rehab programme. They can also assist with ongoing training reviews and progression—often at a lower cost and with greater flexibility.

    📞 Ongoing Support
We’re always here if you need us. Whether it’s troubleshooting, questions, or adjustments, you can reach us by email, phone, or video call—whichever works best for you.

    📚 Self-Help Resources
We also offer a range of tools to help you build your knowledge and confidence:

    • A free online course available to all customers

    • Access to video resources for setup, technique, and troubleshooting

    • Live and pre-recorded webinars and group sessions covering common topics and user experiences

We’re committed to making sure you feel supported and confident—every step of the way.

  • We don’t offer FES bikes for rental, and here’s why:
FES cycling isn’t a short-term fix—it’s something that’s most effective when used regularly and long-term, as part of a commitment to maintaining your health and wellbeing.

We believe it’s important for clients to feel fully informed and supported before getting started, which is why we always offer comprehensive demonstration visits. These give you the chance to experience the system in action and ask all your questions before making a decision.

If FES Cycling feels like a good fit for you, we’ll work with you to make sure you feel confident, prepared, and ready to get the most out of it.

  • We don’t currently offer in-house finance or payment plans, but we understand this can be an important factor when considering an FES system. We're actively exploring options and hope to offer flexible payment solutions in the future.

In the meantime, there are ways to help manage costs:

    • The Stim2Go is device-independent, so you can pair it with a second-hand or refurbished cycle if you already have one—or source one separately from a provider offering hire purchase or rental options.

    • We’re happy to supply the Stim2Go on its own, and support you in setting it up with your chosen equipment.

If you're unsure what setup might work best for your situation, just get in touch—we’re always happy to talk through options.

  • Stim2Go has a 1 year warranty, covering faults in materials or workmanship under normal use.

    🛠️ Expected Lifespan:
Stim2Go: around 5 years (≈500 full charge cycles)

The warranty doesn’t cover damage caused by misuse, impact, unauthorised repairs, or connection to non-approved devices. Routine wear-and-tear items—like cables, pads, straps, and supports—aren’t covered, but can be replaced as needed.

The Stim2Go does not require scheduled servicing for general home use. If you’re using the equipment in a clinic or shared setting, you might need periodic electrical safety testing—and we’re happy to advise on that.

If anything goes wrong or you’re unsure about a part, just get in touch. We’ll help you keep everything running smoothly.

  • The Stim2Go stimulator is extremely portable—just slightly bigger than a mobile phone. It slips easily into a small bag, so you can take it to physiotherapy sessions or even bring it on holiday.

If you're heading away, we can help you set up travel-friendly programmes to keep your muscles active and your routine going while you’re on the move.

  • Over time, electrode pads and cables will naturally wear out and need replacing—and we know that the occasional accident can happen too.
